What Have We Really Lost?

On every form of media we are currently being bombarded by the "World Deficit" or "The Financial Crisis". We are saturated with images of unemployment, unhappiness and instability. Truly the loss of anyone's possessions is traumatizing and I whole heartedly wish it were unavoidable.
But let's pause for a while and think. What have we really lost? Don't you have food on your table? Don't you have money to be able to surf the net and read this? Don't you have friends and family around you? Don't you have your health?
Now, step out of your comfort zone take a 180 degree turn and look at all the underdeveloped countries in this world. They have never had a stable source of nutrition. Have probably never had a stable source of income. Have probably never heard of the internet. Have lived in poverty all their lives. Have, most surely, struggled with their health. They constantly live on our charity, if we offer it. And the list goes on and on and on.
Have we given enough to receive enough?
When I compare my complainig selfish thoughts to those of poverty striken areas, I feel that I, myself, have stripped myself of my dignity.

Now, really think.
What have you really lost?
Be Grateful for today,
Have Gratitude for what you have.
Pray for the world,
Not only yourself.
